What are the University College Centers?

The Centers of University Collegefoster, focus and coordinate civic and community engagement and research.

Civic engagementinvolves efforts to increase understanding, interest, and participation in social, civic, and politicalinstitutions among students, faculty, and staff.Community engagementfacilitates student development and learning by enabling students to see the impact of community problems and contribute to the resolution of those problems.

Our two College Centers are the Center for Civic Responsibility & Leadership (CCRL) and the Center for Public Scholarship and Social Change (CPSSC).

Center for Civic Responsibility & Leadership

CCRL provides student-centered educational and developmental projects and activities. It is premised on the view that through civic education students will be awakened and equipped to become active leaders in civic affairs.
