Latest Forecast
Southerly winds of 12-25 mph have ushered more seasonable air into northern MD and southeastern PA this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s. A weak, clipper-type system will zip through New England tonight, but no more than a brief rain/snow shower is expected to reach areas north and west of I-81. West-southwesterly winds of 12-25 mph will then direct even milder air into the region on Thursday, and high temperatures should be around 5-10 degrees above average under mostly sunny skies. A cold front will traverse the Commonwealth from northwest-to-southeast from Thursday night into Friday morning. Behind it, west-northwesterly winds of 12-25 mph will usher colder air into the Lower Susquehanna Valley Friday afternoon, and high temperatures should peel back into the mid 30s. A secondary, Arctic front will move through the region Friday evening and signal the arrival of a dangerously cold air mass later Friday night into Saturday.
