Syllabus Design and Inclusive Learning
Eligibility for academic accommodations and related services for students with learning and physical disabilities are coordinated by the Director and staff of the Office of Learning Services. Services may include but are not limited to academic accommodations, auxiliary aids, assistive technologies, housing accommodations, and others.
Accommodations and services for students can be requested by completing and submittingaSpecial Assistance Request Form.
Accommodations specific to test taking can be requested utilizing theTesting Accommodation Requestform.

A reasonable accommodation is a modification or adjustment to a job, the work environment, or
the way things are usually done that enables a qualified individual with a disability to enjoy an

The residence halls are built to comply with fire/life safety and ADA regulations. Additionally, Housing & Conference Services staff work with the Office of Learning Services on issues related to placements,access, and logistics for individuals with access and functional needs.
Housing accommodation requests are handled through the Office of Learning Services in the same manner as academic requests, using the form below.
Individuals with disabilities may use service animals and emotional support animals for a variety of reasons. A service animal means any dog, or occasionallya miniature horse, that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability, while Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals.
Service and emotional support animals are permitted based on the UniversityService and Assistance/Emotional Support Animal Policy.
